(Dover, NH) — Welch Fluorocarbon, Inc. is pleased to welcome Joe Schultz as Technical Services Team Leader. Welch Fluorocarbon, Inc. a Dover New Hampshire company, is best known for providing thermoformed high-performance plastic components to a broad range of industries including medical, aerospace, and defense.
Joe will lead all Technical Services operations which include a large scope of responsibilities within Welch such as engineering, R&D, product development, manufacturing support, and facilities maintenance. He will report directly to President & CEO Kevin Wiley. Wiley stated: “Joe’s global business, advanced product development, and cross-functional leadership experience will ensure that Welch remains an innovator while continuing to deliver high-performance plastic components to our customers. Joe will own all research and development activities while he champions his team as a talent developer.”
Joe succeeds Tim Towle, who will retire on November 30th, 2020 after 8 years of service with Welch. Tim has helped strategically position Welch as the industry leader in thermoformed high-performance plastic components and has built a world-class team with an inclusive environment. Wiley added: “We thank Tim for his imprint on Welch culture and the technical knowledge he brought to the team. We congratulate him on his retirement and he will be sincerely missed.”
Joe comes to Welch with over 25 years of manufacturing and leadership experience with Conti Tech Thermopol, LLC. His last tenure was as the Head of Research and Development for the Americas Region. Joe has spent his entire career focusing on applications that involve rubber and plastics. He graduated from the University of Maine and lives locally, right in Dover with his wife of 27 years, Gioia, and his two sons, Peter & David. Welch is excited to have Joe as part of the team and looking forward to all the engineering and leadership knowledge he will bring to the table.
