We are writing this letter to provide you with an additional update. Welch Fluorocarbon, Inc. will remain open during the ongoing outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. Due to the nature of the products that we make, we are deemed to be a critical manufacturer as defined on page 10 of this memorandum released by the Department of Homeland Security on March 19, 2020: MEMORANDUM ON IDENTIFICATION OF ESSENTIAL CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE WORKERS DURING COVID-19 RESPONSE.
CRITICAL MANUFACTURING is defined as the following:
- Workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operation of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base.
At this time, Welch continues to be fully operational and we are functioning at full capacity.
As always, our primary focus will continue to be ensuring our employees’ and customers’ safety and well-being. We continue to take every measure possible to prioritize our employees’ health in order to ensure that our customers receive consistent on-time delivery, responsiveness, and the quality of products that they have come to expect from Welch Fluorocarbon.
